I am often asked what the “secret” is to becoming and staying in great shape. The truth is there is no secret. There is only what works for you. The following is what works for my clients (and me). Remember, success leaves clues.   1. Never dramatically reduce your calories. Eat the right amount of food for your body composition and goal.
  2. Never completely eliminate ANY macronutrient (protein, carbohydrates or fats) from your diet.
  3. Always ensure sufficient antioxidant and vitamin/mineral status.
  4. Do not allow blood sugar to spike too high or drop too low. Maintain homeostasis.
  5. Exercise according to your fitness level and goal. Focus on muscle building and fat burning.
  6. Train your mind to work for you- not against you. Be aware of what “stresses you out” and do something about it.
  7. Take action, believe in yourself, measure your progress and remember to enjoy yourself because every day above ground is a good one.
